MARKET DATA SOFTWARE UX

June - October 2011
Client: Nielsen Ratings
Team: Knowl Baek, Miguel Cervantes, Drew Davidson, Ric Edinburg

Problem:

Nielsen Ratings provides some of the most essential tools and valuable data for media analysts to monitor viewership and predict ad sales on a daily basis. As powerful as the softwares are, the interface is incredibly complex and far from intuitive. Also, media consumption behavior has been changing rapidly due to online channels and new devices. Our team was asked to assess the challenges with current software workflows and suggest new ways to respond to the changing landscape.

Outcome:

Presented UX improvement opportunities and conducted a strategy workshop.

Helped Nielsen’s Innovation Team to communicate the research insights and strategic directions the Management and Development teams.
